I recently puchased two of these bad boys.  However, the specs on enclosures states not to use a sealed enclosure.  I owed a 98 Ford Expedition.  These woofers requires about 2-3 cu ft of airspace ported box  and the "wife" will not let me take the third seat out (imagine that).  Anyone have suggestion on where I can put these monsters?

You could make a big thin box on the bottom, rising up in  two pillars holdin the subs. and the base would house the ports.

I would give you a link of a setup what im talkin about but the site is down.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

Let me know when the site is up.  It's hard for me to picture what you are talking about.

Thanx

Its in either sounddomain or cardomain.com.. It was a chevy silverado ext. cab.  So he could use the seat. he made part of the box underneath it, with the ports. then where the  JL W7 sub was place was in a pillar, that connected to the bottom box. combined with the volume of the pillar and the other box underneath the seat, he got the needed volume, without taking out the seat and buildin a big box.

that should explain it alittle better, but  a picture is worth alot more..be sure to post it when i find it.

Thanks for the input.  That's a very unique design and I may have to run with that.   Can you hear the gears turning??????Audiobahn awt10x Subs -- posted image.

I love the new W7 series for JL..too bad the cost a ton.

I've heard the 12's at a show.  They pound ridiculously, I haven't hooked them up yet.  But I plan on glass'n a box for them along with glass'n the back hatch for the amps and doors as well.
