Would two Mtx 8ohm svc subs rated at 400 rms, wired bridged in a 4ohm load on a punch 800 amp (800X1 at 4ohm) be over driven or just right?

which subs?
you have to take into consideration the fact that box design also has so much to do with this that no one can really give you a proper answer without knowing how big the box will be and if it will be sealed or ported or whatever...
under perfect circumstances you would have no worries doing this, but if you get carried away with the wrong box or get a little too happy when adjusting your gains you do run a risk of blowing them up...
