Ive got 2 HX2s, (dvc) 4 ohm subs... so the only way i can wire it is a 1 ohm load or a 4 ohm load...

the JBL 1200.1 amp that im lookin at isnt 1 ohm stable.. do you guys think it would be fine or should i look for a 1 ohm stable amp?

look for a 1 ohm stable amp. if it says it's not 1 ohm don't do it. you will hurt the amp.

actually yes the JBL amp is 1-ohm stable.  They just don't give you the 1-ohm power rating because it's the same as @ 2 ohms.  If you look in the manual though you will see it can handle a 1 ohm load easily.

esmith is right, run the 2 HX2's in parallel for a 1ohm load and you'll be fine.

I have to 3rd the posts above. I hook these up to 1 ohm loads all the time. And it is one ohm stable and will put out 1200 watts at either 1 or 2 ohms.

lol, I just have to reiterate that everyone before me is correct...the BP1200.1 is 1 ohm stable and will do a 1 ohm load without issue...
