I wanted to Mount my subwoofer amplifier upside down on the under side of my trunk lid. However, I've read that it is very bad for the amplifier because it doesn't make the heat sink function properly. If I were to build an enclosed box for the amp and put 2 intake and 2 exhaust fans in it, would it work? Would I still do damage to the amplifier? thanks.

As long as there is sufficient air movement, there shouldn't be a problem for the amplifier. I've mounted amplifier under the trunklid before with the heatsink side down, and the customers have not had any problems with the amp overheating. The biggest problem was installing it with those stupid trunk lid cross beams in the way. Good luck with the install.

PAC has a very slick amplifier fan.. it's long and sits at the end of the amp, and looks cylindrical. I'm trying to find a few of these myself for some high current amps. they look perfect for your needs too
