I just bought a Kenwood KDC-519 off eBay and i went to put it in my 2001 Ford Escape. Im having a couple problems, i have no wire diagram for the Kenwood HU, but i do for the escape harness.  I found the hot wire and the ground, and heard the Headunit CD player make some noise like it was powered (not blown), BUT the screen had nothing come up.  I heard that i might need a security code, but wouldnt the screen come up anyway?

OK, here's the manual for that head unit.  Did you not get an adapter plug for your factory harness? Does your escape have the "Mach" system in it?  Or no?
