you'll need a "line out converter" if your amp doesn't have a "high level input".  you can purchase one at a parts store, or a car audio dealer.  they're pretty cheap.  the remote turn on needs to go to a power lead that's only active when the ignition is on.  or you can hook it to the "power antenna" lead on the back of your head unit.  i recommend using a tester and splicing it to a ignition-on hot lead.  it's easy.  the line out converers are made to turn speaker wire from the deck (high level) to rca jacks (low level).  you can disconnect the connectors from the rear speakers, then adapt them to the line out converter.  then run rca's from there to the amp, and new speaker connections from the amp to the speakers.

hope i was helpful.

You should use a relay to hook up the remote turn on lead, 85 to ignition in, 87 to 10a fused 12v constant, 86 to ground, and 30 to remote turn on to amp.

No need for the relay, a loc does not draw any amount of current that warrants a relay, most ignition sources are more than adequate and do not provide any amount of noise that a relay with diode is necessary for. The factory red / white wire on the gray plug should be the ignition on line for the radio, you can tap into it for the power for the loc. Make sure you buy a decent loc, one with gain control is best.

I disagree that a line out converter is cheap...yes, you can buy cheap, not adjustable ones, but they suck pretty bad.  noisy, low level signal at best.  If I'm forced to do it this way, I've been using PIE's PDC-LOC which can be used in "both" directions.  it takes speaker level and converts it to RCA, or vice versa.

very large module, but the quality and adjustability are MINT.  well worth the cash if ur gonna stick with the factory deck imho.

I meant use a relay for remote turn on lead, to reduce abnormal drain, sometimes you can develope turn on noise if the voltage is less than required.
