Hey,
I am in the process of replacing my factory CD player and adding on a new deck and CD changer...
what r some tips to easily remove the deck and save me some time and frustration?
as well, if i want to install the changer inside the vehicle and not in the trunk, what is the best way to go about this?
thank

Here is a website link that will tell you how to remove you stock  cd player.

Are you asking where other place are to install the changer? or just tips? I know some people install them in the glove box or under a seat.

1) Using a panel tool carefully pry upward on the radio dash bezel and remove.
2) Remove (2) screws holding the stereo sub dash piece in place and remove.
3) Remove (4) screws holding the stereo to the stereo sub dash.
4) Unplug all wiring.

i have used a flat head screw driver before to remove trim. anything thin but strong enough to pry a little bit. once you get part up you should be able to use your hands.

and so once u get the trim off around the deck, then it just pulls out, or are there additional screws at the back of the deck as well to remove first before that can happen?

Once you get the paneling off, there will be 6 screws. (2) holding the stereo sub dash piece in place and (4) holding the stereo to the sub dash. You can get a panel tool from crutchfield.com for 8.99 plus shipping.

okay, now am i going to have to bypass the factory amp with the rear speakers, because i have been reading that the rear speakers have a higher resistance (4 ohm compared to 2 ohm on the others) and can overheat the head unit that is put in...is this true?

The 4 ohm speakers will be fine with the deck. The ones you will need to hook up to an amp or something will be the 2 ohm.
