I have a 2000 Blazer that we bought used and the cassette deck doesn't work.  It is remotely mounted on the floor with the center console.  I pulled the deck out and checked what I believe is power, with an orange wire to black wire.  There was also a green wire and I checked that to the black with no power either.  I assume the orange wire is the unswitched 12v as I believe from reading here that the orange is power to the radio.  I have checked all the fuses in the block on the left side of the dash and the block under the hood.  All fuses are good and none indicate that they belong to an "AUX" radio or anything that looks like that.  I don't know if there is an inline fuse but I wouldn't know where to look.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Craig Wagner

The orange wire at the remote cassette deck should be battery power from the radio. The black is ground. The other wires are either data, signal or audio lines. If there isn't 12 volts on the orange check to make sure that the harness is plugged into the back of the radio. The plug is between the antenna jack in the back of the radio and the main power/speaker plug of the radio. There are only two fuses for the audio system. One battery and one accessory. Check for power at the radio end of the plug too to determine if the harness is bad.
