I need the speaker wire colors....and alarm diagram
does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 2004 Z71 truck???   im not going to replace the radio for the guy i told him the possible complications, and he also has been to 2 other places and they wouldnt touch the truck. I am wiring subs using the rear speakers for a signal to a line converter...also does anyone know if the voltage on this vehicle's switched ing. wire will be to much for the RMT turn on lead....normaly I just use that or a constant supply with a in line switch that i will mount on the dash somewhere, but he dosent want a switch.   So i want to use a tap off of the switched wire as a turn on lead, anyone see any prob's with this in one of these vehicle's?     He also wants an aftermarket alarm/remote start, so i need that diagram if possible as well

Is it true that with almost all the 2000 and over trucks and pickups with a sub that the speakers in the doors have a high pass filter on them so they wont play and low frequencies. If it is you have to use some special preamp-output adaptor (not an LOC ,the adaptor I know of installs into the factory wiring harness so you get a full range signal).

If the truck has no stock sub, I think you'll be fine to use the rears for the LOC's.  Switched ignition/accessory will be fine as well for the turn-on.  I'm not sure if these colors are all correct or not, but at least it's a start: http://www.designtech-intl.com/Content/techsupport/wirecolors/VehicleDetail?modelID=270

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
