I'm looking for something to replace my older 12" MTX 6000. I found Two Xtant Z124s for about $100 shipped and i found an Alpine SWR-1221D for about $120 shipped. The only thing that I've heard about the Xtants are from ppl that don't have them and have never heard them, but they say they are nice.

The thing is i have a RF 360.2 punch amp that will NOT be stable at a 2 ohm load. This mean that i would have to get a new amp if i get the 2 Xtants.

So what do you think?

The Type R can do both for you. As long as you feed it some steady wattage. I had 2 of them, gave them 350 each, which is only 50 more than rms, they slammed. I had them in a sealed box. It was nice. As for the xtants, I honestly cant give you an opinion on them. However, seeing as how they arent the standard circular shape, they have stress points, which cant be good. But, since ur going for SQ, and not SPL, that may not affect u. Good luck.
