I have 2 kicker 1200X1's. Will they work better running one amp to each sub at 1ohm or strap them together and run double the power at 2 ohm. Im ordering 2 image dynamics 12's but I can't order them until I figure out whats a better set up. Is there any pro's or cons to either setup.

Thanks

For starters how much do you know about strapping 2 KX1200.1's together? There's a lot involved with it and you need to have the amps wired together correctly, as well as the wiring to the sub.
If you know how to strap them correctly, then you also have power considerations to look at. (2) 1200 watt amps are going to double the power consumption, and you need to make sure that your alternator and current power wire are capable of handling the extra load.
One other thing to consider as a side note, you wont get 1200 watts from that amp. Kicker rates their amps based on a 13.8 volt setup, not the standard 12 volt automotive system. You'll be getting around 1000 watts reliably.
Running the 2 amps will be louder than just the one, and if you're willing to take the associated risks and setup requirements then I say go for it. But no matter what anyone says, it's up to you to ultimately decide what you want kicker 1200X1 -- posted image.
