Diamond Audio amp

Hey guys, I have a diamond audio D3 600.1 amp. Its rated :

150 x 1 @ 4 Ohm Mono

300 x 1 @ 2 Ohm Mono 600 x 1 @ 1 Ohm Mono

Does anyone else have this amp? I was wondering if it would be safe to run this amp at  .5 ohm load (yea, 1/2 ohm) I wanna know if anyone has done it before i go and blow this thing. thanks alot.

I can't tell you if it would handle the load but I wouldn't try it.  A Diamond is too high quality to possibly ruin by overloading it.Support the12volt.com

If the service center determins you blew the amp by putting an unsafe load on it, warrenty is null and void due to improper install, and general stupidity. If the amp is not rated to do half ohm than it probally wont do it and you probally shouldnt try. I have loaded down my HCCA orion to 1/2 ohm and its not rated for it but I was ready to accept the consequences and the repair bill If I blew it up. I dont know if you can actually tell when you service and amp if it blew because of a low impedence load, I was told you can but was never actually given a explanation how.
