I just got a new truck about 2 weeks ago. I have or am getting an eclipse 8454 headunit, db drive platinum 6.5 in door, custom kicks with another set of 6.5s, db drive platinum 475 amp, rear stage is gonna be stock or disconnected (I cant find any decent 4x6s that I like.) an orion 275 hcca running in 1ohm mono (bench tested 1612w@13.5v) to push a 15" re xxx in 4cu.ft. @32hz. Any suggestions on bettering this setup? Still trying to decide on a rear stage.

What is the truck? If you are interested in sq, lose the 15". You have a huge gap between the 15" and next largest driver being a 6.5". Post a link to db drive as well. I am not familiar with the line and would like to see if is another me too line or if they are something to consider.

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Yeah, what kind of truck, with 4X6's, sound to be a GM extended cab, in which we alot of times, take a template for a 6 1/2, do a little minor cutting in the back door, and fit a pair of 6 1/2's, which will sound better than most any 4X6.

i would go with 10's for sq if they can handle the wattage. you will get much tighter and clean bass from 10's than 12's let alone 15's. also 10's will hit tight and will still go down to the low frequency when asked. but it wont hit as low as a 15 but for sq 10 or 12 tops

Also if you are really interested in SQ, don't run your sub amp at 1 ohm.  Run it at 4 ohms at least.  And I assume you are running two sets of 6.5's for a reason?  How do you have them crossed over?

Also, I did a web search for "db Drive" loudspeakers and came up with db Technologies, a professional sound reinforcement and microphone company out of Italy.  Is this the maker of your mains?

although a xxx would have a powering sound, if you wanted SQ i would also say, 10" is where your money should be placed.

The truck is a 04 ss silverado.
The link for db drive is www.dbdrive.net
I am going to stick with the 15" xxx because I already have it. I also have some of the v-max cerwin vegas 12" 4ohm dvc. I guess I am just gonna play around until I hear what I like.
