I have one of those subs in the 12", and I think it sounds quite good.   For the money.  Build a quality enclosure for it.   It all depends on your overall system.  Mine is in a system that could be best described as "quite a bit better than a factory premium system, but not yet SQ, and definitely not SPL".  (On a budget of under $800 for everything.)  If yours is like that, the CW is a good speaker.  But if you are building a true SQ system, and have $2K in the rest of the system, then go for a better, more expensive subwoofer.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

If that is what you can afford then go for it. Cerwin  Vega's are not bad at all.  Your prefer SQ eh??

Let us know what else you have in mind such as 6.5's and etc..

The solobaric is pure SPL, so save it for another project or sell it.  The Cerwin Vega does not match up with the rest of your system.  The JBL 600 will power a nice 12" subwoofer, one that is a higher output capability than the CW.  Notice I said 12", because if you look at SQ setups that is what you will usually find.  See many other recent posts on this forum for recommended SQ subs.

Though some may not agree with this, but I find that Cerwin Vega HED series is a pretty good sub for SQ if it is setup correctly.

I have personally, which my truck is designed for SQ, four HED 12's powered by a Zapco Reference 750, fine tuned by a Zapco SX-SL processor, and I have a pretty flat response, though my box is 4.4 cu. in total, 1.1 cu in. for each chamber.

Now when you go for the older Vega-Vega's, I feel that they are more of an SPL sub, as are the Strokers, but Cerwin Vega also has the V-Max out, which I have ran a few nice setups thusfar, but still prefer my bottomline HED's

I listen to predominantly rock, from the older to the newer, and also prefer the tight, snappy bass of a sealed enclosure, and after fine tuning my truck on the meter, I was very satified with Cerwin Vega's HED subs.
