mtx 8000 verses kicker comp vr

whats gets louder and has better sq mtx 8000 subs or the kicker compvrs. im going to be running 4 of them off and directed 1200 mono block amp. i have owned kicker comp vrs and they were nice but will the mtx 8000 be an upgrade because i was told the mtx 6000 subs were on par with the comp vrs. oh they are gonna be 12's.

The 8000's would be a nice upgrade.

Those 8000's are a better sub but I am kinda concerened about the amount of power you have. Those things are pretty power hungry, I always found they worked best with 400 rms per sub. How are you gonna wire them up ie what impedence are you gonna run.

im gonna run them at 1 ohm so thats 1200 watts an little over 300 watts per sub. now i was gonna get the dvc ones but i choose the svc because of my amp.

OK, thats fine then. MTX subs have no difference in power handling or preformance between DVC and SVC, its strictly for wiring options. What size of sub box is being used and is it ported, sealed etc.

i would go with the mtx for sure... might want a little more power though for 4 of them... I am running 2 per amp when i had 4, the 2 amps were 81000d mtx's
