Pioneer DEH-1500 Question

I just removed factory deck and installed deh-1500 everything works great except it turns off when i eject a CD Is this normal? I have to turn it back on to play radio

So just wait. If you turn the radio on, then hit the source button to play a cd, then eject the cd does the deck turn off?

Yes, this has been normal for Pioneer for as long as I can remember.
