Ok my current sub is a JL Audio 12W3v2 D2 powered  by a 300*1 @ 4 ohms by Phoenix Gold Tantrum t300.2 when i was first looking at subs and amp ppl were tellign me to get a shiva i ddint qutie have the money then and then someone sold me this sub witha nice ported box with it for about 200 bux cdn which was a hell of a deal. anyways i know how have it all running fine. my fronts are infinty perfects 6.1 powered by a alpine mrvt320 giinv 80WRMS to each. anyways the sub is in a 2.0 cbft box tuened to about 32-33HZ the port is about 3.5*9inchs long. is it ok for me to just DROP in a shiva. because from what i read that shivas still give AMAZING SQ even in a ported box. will their be a HUGE difference in me upgrading subs from this jl to the adire shiva? and also this amp actualy does about 340WRMS *1 @ 4ohms accordigin to birth sheet. Woudl this amp be suffcient ffor the sub? my amp is getting adequet power to i have a 2 guage running to that amp and a 10guage running to the ALpine amp. thanks. also my fuse isnt exactly withing 18inches on the 2guage of the battery its about a 22inches shoudl i move this fuse closer it is a AGU fuse holder with a a80amp glass fuse in it. thanks!

Check out the shiva spec sheet or pull up shiva in WinISD, I gotta run watch my packers now, but if no one has given you the answer I'll model it out in WinISD for you and see.

Think it should be good.

I say it will hit harder...Xmax is pretty nice on the shiva.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

First, Packers suck. That was the most disappointing game I've seen in years. :-(
xmax has nothing to do w/ whether or not the sub will "hit harder." xmax only clues us in to physically limited spl at a given frequency.
I modeled it that box up w/ the Shiva. I wouldn't do it. Too small for that sub if you want SQ. You'll get a 4-5db peak around 50hz, no big deal, but from that point you have a seriously rapid drop off in frequency response, down about 10db in less than an octave at 30hz. This is not good if you like low bass.
Try more like 3ft^3. Sorry.. this probably isn't what you wanted to hear. :-(
Check out Adire's tech sheet on ported shiva applications.

overall would you say i should just stick with my Jl12w3v2 im liking it the way it is now. i think the 2ft^3 box is eating trunk space (4dr sedan civic ). anyways is their a HUGE dirrerence in the sub i own now and the shiva they both seem sorta tha same even though the JL cost a lot more. what would u do ?

also about my fuse quesion shoudl i move it closer or leave it the way it is ( currecntyl is about 22 or so inches away from battery . i know i shoulda put it really close from the beginign but i didtn even measure it stupid me.

I'm confident a sealed shiva would give you better SQ. Worth it? Who knows. Only $125 + cost of building of a box.
22", eh... I don't know that I'd worry about it. Just make sure everything is tight and there is no chance the wire before the fuse is wearing on anything. Some protective tubing would be a good cheap bet.

it is covered with that slpit loom all the way up to the fuse and oall the way to hole in firewall the fuse holder wouldnt fit in the loom thats the only thing that is kinda you can see . For a shiva in sealed box can my currecnt amp that puts out a a good 320WRM solid at 4ohms be much better than my jl what box size am i lookign at for a shiva sealed.

The fuse issue should be fine.
I think a Shiva sealed would sound wonderful. Download the Adire Shiva sealed application technical sheet for information about how different sized sealed boxes will sound. Let me know if you don't find that pdf and I'll link you up when I have a few more minutes.
