I have a power acoustik "Area51" 2x1200watt amp (600rms). I just bought a 92' honda civic si 2dr hatchback, and I would like to have my amp power the 2 front door 5 1/4 speakers, my 2 6x9 speakers that are mounted to the trunk cover, and 1 sub. Is this possible? I don't really need the best bass, I just want it to sound good. I'm trying to figure out the best wiring... should I put the 2 left speakers in series and the 2 right in series, and bridge the sub? I can't afford to get a second amp, I'd prefer to just use what I have. Also, regarding the sub placement, does it matter if the sub faces the front, back or side? I mean does it make the sub sound different? Any ideas would be great!

You have a 5 channel application and you want to do it with two channels. There is no reasonable method to do this. This amp would be best used as your sub amp. You should get that much set up and borrow/earn $150 for a 4 channel amp for the pairs. Also, it would be helpful for any further responses to post links to the amp and the sub.

Yes, use the amp you have for your sub (assuming it is a 4-ohm or greater sub) and power your interior speakers from your head unit.

Thanks, I kind of figured that it would mess up my amp... good thing I asked!! Would it work if I took out the the sub and just powered the 2 pairs? or would a 4 channel amp make a big difference?

If you are not wanting to buy another amp I would just run the amp to the sub and power the others with the HU like DYohn said above. That is more power than you need from the amp to the other speakers, plus you would miss the bass from the sub. Then save up and get a 4channel amp later for your interior speakers.
