n00b trying to wire 2 subs

basically some things i need to know are how i should wire these and at what amount of resistance. also what gauge wire is reccomended to connect the subs to teh amp. thanks for the help

basically, there isn't a great way to do this, you are running 2 dual voice coil subs on a 4 channel amp, this doesn't really work out, it can be done (oviously) but you will never pull 100% of the power out of that amp that you want to

there are a few ways, the way that it SHOULD be done, is to run the voice coils in series with each other. This way each speaker is 8 ohms, (notice this is high and wont pull all your power out) Then bridge one sub on the front set and one on the back set, this would have the same power output of having each coil on it's own channel... this way you are garenteed not to blow the amp because you are dropping the ohms too low,,

Now, if you want to try and get the power out of this thing, you can run the voice coils in parrallel, and then bridge them, now this amp is ment to have a 2x 4 ohm load bridged, if you run the subs in parrallel and bridge them you are running 2 x 2ohm, which is TOO LOW.. this is ok, IF you keep your amp turned down, and watch yourself, you will get a bit more distortion doing it this way, but not too much.. i would make sure to keep the amp down at first, and work your way up, to make sure it doesn't over heat every 15 min or that it doesn't go into protect...

sorry i forgot this, i would use a 14 or so gauge wire, if you really want to you could do 12, but your really not going for some crazy ass 10000 watt system, so 14 16 something like that should do fine

Ok so if i want to run two DVC subs in parallel and bridge them how would i go about this wiring wise. Im still very new to all of this and any diagram or explanation of how to set these up would be awesome.
