hello everyone, I'm getting ready to install a set of MA Audio 5.25" 2 way speakers in the front, and a Ma Audio 5.25" Component Set in the rear.

The front speakers RMS is 60 Watts

The rear set RMS is 125 Watts

Soon after the install I'm looking to put an amp in for the 2, what I was wondering was is what size amp should I get, and should I get a crossover?

I'm going to be putting Bass Blockers on the front speakers, and there is a crossover for the rears. Any and All input would help..thanks alot

try to buy one of the MA 4 channels off ebay I am running MA 61/2 in my doors and MA 6x9's in one of my cars on a older ma 4 channel it works great

The trouble you are going to get is the imbalance between the components and the co-ax's in the rear. Actually the sensitivity of these two is the most important information rather than the RMS rating.

The 10" sub and Jensen amp are excellent but, unless you get a powerful four channel amp, you will be disapointed with the overall sound from your new system.

I recommend a Fosgate Amp. These are very flexible and will handle the more "bright" feel of the JVC head unit. You will need at least 150 watts (RMS) per channel to allow for the imbalance of the sensitivities of the front and rear speakers. Chose the best one you can for your budget.

By the way, don't bother with the bass blockers, they will add to the distortion on the system. The amp would handle any subsonics you have and block them if you need to.

I'm running a nakamichi 504 50 watts x4 its a great amp but its 3 years old. the new nakamichi amps are good too but I haven't used them. I'd check into nak and see if that is in your price range.
