I have never owned a mono block amp before, so I thought I'd ask you all here-I have 2 Kicker 10" L5s 4ohm DVC in a sealed box, 600/450RMS each. I am pushing them with a Kenwood XXV-03a. The amp is rated at 533w @ 4 ohm, and 1000w @ 1 ohm RMS. If I wire the subs to 1 ohm, do I have to divide the 1000w by 2, which would effectively give the subs roughly 500w apiece, or does the rating remain constant no matter how many subs I connect, meaning I would wire them for a 4 ohm total load, giving the subs 533w apiece? Thanks for any advice!

1000wrms would be the total rms the amp puts out at 1 ohm, so the subs will share that power meaning they will both see approx 500 watts rms.  At 4 ohm each sub would see approx 266 watts rms each.
