This maybe a stupid question.

I plan to install a satellite radio (siruis). I prefer not to have 2 antennas on the car. Can I remove the FM antenna, and use the satellite radio antenna to receive FM sattions?

not gonna work; bnut if you don't want another antenna on the exterior of the car, you can put the SR antenna on the dash; or on the rear package shelf by your third brakelight. This is of course depending upon the angle of your windshield and the repeater coverage in your area.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
