It should be OK , just make sure you have enough clearance between the subs and floor. As far as how it'll sound, you'll have to try it facing different directions to see what sounds the best for your setup.

Run them through the sag calculator to make sure they're suitable for downfiring.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Something was entered wrong.  Use mm for Xmax, not inches.  http://www.mhsoft.nl/conv1.htm for conversions.  I haven't seen very many drivers come up much higher than 5% saggy.

thanks for that tip, its now 3% saggy, I didnt know to use MM instead of inches. thats awesome, i was afraid that i wasnt gunna be able to do that.   a few of my friends think that doing it this way will make it sound waaayyyyy quieter. I say it makes no difference.

Good, it will be fine to use that way.  BTW, there have been more than a few 12volt members who have quieted their friends with the end result!

You really just need to clear max excursion, but give it a little extra space if you can.

Aruman, I downloaded that program, it's a good one.  Thanks for the link!
