Ok, wondering where I should place my capacitor.  I have the main 4 ga hot wire to a dist block into 4 8-gauges.  The amp and the external crossover. Now I want to add my capacitor, do I add it to the block as a seperate item like the amp and x-over or inline with the amp after the dist block? (within 14 in. of course)

For ease of install you could add it to the distribution block if it is relatively close to the amplifiers.  If it is more than a foot or two then I would wire it as close to the amp as possible.
