I need to tap into 12v+ accessory (ignition switched) and ground to install a radar detector in the 07 Tahoe.

If your 12v acc. plug is switched, you can tap off there, or you can go from the ignition harness.  As for the negative, ground it to any body metal - under an existing bolt if you can.

You do NOT want to tap into the ignition wiring for power in the newer style GM's. They don't have the extra current available and the car will not start correctly at times. Here is a bulletin on it:

I've been going to the fusebox and tapping off the RAP wiring which seems to work fine.

I don't know about the Tahoe but I've tracked it down in the lucerne and the impala. It was a yellow or yellow/black.
