I'm trying to replace the factory speakers with mb quarts. It has the factory harmon kardon system and when i hook up the components through the mbquart crossover i only get the midbass to work and the tweeter is not even playing highs and very low and muffled. Do i need to bypass the harmon cardon crossover somehow? Is there a bypass kit? I would prefer not to get a seperate 4 channel amp to power the quarts but if thats the only answer i guess ill have to do that. HELP somebody

You will need to bypass the H.K. amp completely if your upgrading the speakers. The speakers are a lower resistance and also crossovered at the amplifier. The MB's will sound much better with an aftermarket amp than with the H.K. amp.
