I'm not sure what type of capacitor I should buy.  I want a good one not a piece of junk that I will waste my money on.  I have 2 12" subs that power 350 watts rms each.  I also have a set of front and rear speakers that power 60 and 90 rms each.  Hooked up to the speakers I have a 900 watt amp for the subs and a 400 watt amp for the speakers.  I really would appreciate any advice on choosing a capacitor and how many farads I should get.  Thanks alot.what cap should i buy? -- posted image.

In my "opinion" a cap is a cap, and I would buy the cheapest major brand you have access to( i would take a pheonix gold over a mobile authority, personnaly, but a cap is a cap).  As far as how many farads to get, the general rule is 1 farad to 1000 watts.

IMO, caps are a waste.  They don't really help at all. The money for the cap could be spent elsewhere on the power system with much better results.  If you do decide to get a cap, they're all pretty much the same except for the ESR rating(the lower the number the better).  As for the size, I agree with the general rule auex stated above.

save your money and buy an alternator if you are having power issues...if you want to throw your money away on a cap, use your money more wisely and get a hooker, because they will do about the same amount of good for your car...dont forget the rubbers ;)
