I am installing a remote starter manufactured by autostart. I have hooked all the wires up except the parklights. are these needed to make the system work. I also did not kook up any of the accesory harness. And I am confused about the hood pin. How dos it work and does it need to be hooked up for the system to work.

The light on the antena flashes when the ignition is turned of and stops flashing when the ignition in on or running.

I also am confused hoe to program the dam thing. I tried starting it with the control and nothing happens.

It is a 1996 plymouth voyager with no power options at all.

I would greatly appriciate the help.

Thanks

Hood pin is a required hook up for this unit. You need it to program the unit and the tach. Also, without the parking lights hooked up it will be hard for you to see whether or not your in programming mode unless your familiar with the unit and know how to count the clicks coming out of the CPU.
Hook up these two connections to make life easier for yourself.

could I just hook up a test light or volt meter to the yellow parking light wire coming out of the brain and use the flashes form the test light. The parking lights are a pain on this thing and i dont want to deal with them if at all posible.

you don't need the parking lights for it to function properly.
