I've installed an autopage 610 in a 2000 chevy pickup, for the life of me i can't figure out what is going on, it cranks but the engine just won't fire, the key works just fine, but if i kind of give the remote start a help buy turning the key just past the ign point but not quite cranking it (so the Acc's turn off) the remote starter will start it. Am I missing something here or what?

What did you use to bypass the PASSLOCK?
Almost sounds like thats the issue.
If you where to do the same thing you stated above. Letting the truck run for a second then pulling the key out with the truck cont to run.

PLDATA Is the easiest way to bypass.

Pldata is the best, but you can accomplish the bypass with a relay and a resistor. Did you know that your car had an anti-theft device? If you are not interested in buying a bypass module, you can email me and I will send you instructions and a relay diagram to bypass the passlock II immobilizer that you truck has.
You will need a DMM

I used to love to make these modules myself, but lately... Ive had nothing but problems.  One was a 97 S-10 Blazer, worked fine on remote start.  When you remote start the vehicle the security light turned on and then off like normal, but when you inserted the key, and turned the ignition on, the security light would come on, and stay on.  The vehicle would stay running, and when started with just the key, the light would turn on then off like normal.  In the customers view, somthing was wrong, and they were worried about the car not running, not to mention the bright red security light on.  Pldata fixed this problem, and from an installers view, much easier to install.

If you get th esecurity light, typically turning the key to start before hitting the break solves that. It helps to have an anti-grind relay in that case if the car does not already have one.

Yeah I had that same issue. Till one day a friends wife said that it never happened with her and we watched her activate the remote start then turn the key to "crank". Even though she was told not to.
Damn dual resistance in IGN switch

Thanks everyone for your help, I installed the PLdata rather that doing the build it-yourself, it worked sweet.
