The alarm I am installing in my 02 civic ex says that it connects both to a battery1 and a battery2. I know I can pull +12v off the ignition switch for one of these, but what about the other? Do I need to hook it directly up to the + battery terminal?
Also, the parking light relay is on board, so it needs +12v constant input and the output hooks to the parking light wire. Where is a good place to pull this +12v from?

can you give us more information on the alarm. from what am understanding i might be wrong but. usually a alarm remote starter has 3 +12v input if you car has a nice 14 or 12 AWG then all you have to do is join all the wires that need 12+ and hook those up to that wire. also for you parking lights you could get 12v from there I believe the +12v wire is white is a pretty thick wire am sure it can handle.

The alarm is a Prestige APS-997A but I'm not going to use the remote start portion, just the alarm.

You can use the heavy white in the ignition harness for all of your +12V inputs that the system requires. This is assuming you are not adding anything additional to the remote start. If all you are hooking up is the RS with flashing parking lights and no other heavy draw accessories you will be fine.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
