responder le problem with 2way remote

I have a 02 GMC Yukon and I just got the Responder LE (Python 872) installed about a week ago. After having the remote in my purse all day while at work, my 2way remote keeps flashing all LED lights and plays a tune constantly and I cannot get it to stop. Pressing any buttons makes the tune/led flashing restart over again.  I couldn't even use it to disarm my vehicle, luckily I had the other (1way) remote inside my console to stop the alarm from going off. My installer did not apparently tell me how to utilize the valet button (how many presses and what sequence to put the key in to manually disarm) but I digress.  (I need to know how to get this programmed as well)

I need to know if there is a way to reset my remote or is it malfunctioning?   Thanks!
