I had a Viper 791xv installed on a 2002 highlander. The default was passive arming after 30sec. and when i hit the open door/arming off button it would wait at least 30sec+ before it rearms.

I traded in that car and i moved the alarm into a 2008 hughlander. remote start works. Alarm works. But alarm will not activate like before after 30sec and now when i hit door open/alarm off it re-activates after 5sec even with door open.

How can I get it to work as it did in the 2002 highlander.

02 was pro installed 08 was done by a semi-pro/friend.

check your door pins to make sure the alarm is triggering with the door.  Then it's a programming issue.

It doesn't need to be separate door pins, you can use the dome light wire to trigger all....
