I am working on installing a remote start in my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix. I am using the GMBP bypass from bypasskit.com to bypass the PK3 system. The car starts fine when I use the remote start, but when I try starting the car with the key, it dies after a couple seconds. I would assume the PK3 system is cutting fuel, but the security light isn't coming on at all, normally it with come on when you start the car and then goes off and it flashes when it cuts fuel. Any suggestions or things to check? I don't think I messed up the wires, there were only 5 to connect plus one to the remote start box. Thanks.

I am not at all familiar with that bypass module.  Do you have to put a key into the bypass?   Will it remote start with the key in the ignition?   If yes to the first question and no to the second, the bypass should only be powered up when the vehicle is remote started.  If it is powered up anytime the ignition is powered, it is seeing 2 keys.    Like I said I am not familiar with the bypass, so if it has no key in it, see my screenname.
