I have an autopage RS-900.
Does anyone know which wire will be used for the ignition to turn on/off the alarm while the vehicle engine is on or off?
Thanks a million,
Tony

I don't understand the question. Are you looking for the Ground out while running wire?

I have an Autopage rs-900 installed on my Cavalier. I am trying to wire the remote trunk release but I can't figure out wich wire is the aux output of the keyless unit. Would anybody have the wiring diagram of the RS-900 by any chance? or at least the color of the aux output wire and wheather is + or -. I have already tried the autopage site and technical support and nothing!.  any page will be appreciated.

Emmanuel

hello Mr. Gold,
I am looking for the wire that will turn off the autopage alarm when the ignition is turned on with the engine is running. This wire will shut the alarm off with the status LED light.
Do you think it could be the yellow one on the H1, 6 pin connector?
emmanuel_m86,
The wire you are looking for is GRAY, out of H10/20 pin connector. It controls negative (-)200miliamp.

this question isnt making any sense. why would you want to turn off the alarm? you want the alarm off when remote started?? what are you trying to do? there is no external wire on that unit that will turn it off when the ignition turns on. once armed it has to be disarmed with the transmitter or overriden with the valet button. when you remote start it is it setting off the alarm or maybe the factory security system for some reason? is that the problem you are having? if so we need to fix that another way. there is no wire to do what you are describing other than disableing the factory alarm before remote start. we need year, make and model.

I am glad to see that I was not the only one having trouble figuring out what he was asking.

hello all,
Normally an alarm will be disable when the ignition is on, or if the engine is running. This will avoid the remote control accidently will be pressed on or off. There would be a wire will be connected to the ignition.
I don't know which wire it will be, and I hope you will understand my question.

there is a yellow wire that connects to the ignition wire in the ignition harness. its mostly just used for programming options and ignition controlled door locks though. connect it and see it that solves your problem. im not sure because i dont know what the problem is. but its worth a try.

ckeeler,
I will try it on the weekend.
It could be that yellow wire. The reason I ask for this because I need the status LED to be off while the vehicle is running. That LED is annoying when I am driving with it is blinking at night in my car.
Big thanks,
Tony
