I have installed an alarm with remote start and everything is working. The only problem is when the alarm preforms the auto door look the horn honks as if I had hit the lock button on the factory remote. I cant turn this feature off on the alarm and am using a DEI xk532 locks and bypass. Im at a loss any help would be great. If I could turn the factory horn honk off at lock that would fix it but dont know if its possible.

If you hit the lock button only once on the factory fob, does the horn sound?

I think the factory alarm is being turned on, surely if ignition sense is correctly wired in this shouldn't happen. I fitted to an 04 Ram using resistors and never had any problems on autolock though I set it for double pulse lock AND unlock.

yes thats the problem. When the alarm locks the doors through the xk532 10sec after cranking the truck the horn honks as if I hit the lock key phob button one time. I can be backing out of a parking space and all the sudden the horn honk scares the **** out of you.

Is there an overhead console with menu options?  Is there a way to turn off the honk horn while locking.
