Gurus,

The power lock with the central switch is working fine in my car. I am trying to install viper 211hv keyless entry system in the car. Here are the connections i did for viper system

Red - connected to white +12v wire in steering column harness

GREEN/ Black - Connected to white black wire in driver side fuse panel on gray connector

WHITE/ Black - connected to chassis ground

Blue/ Black - Connected to green red wire in driver side fuse panel on gray connector

violet and violet/black - connected to +12 v with a fuse

Black - Connected to chassis ground.

Brown - Connected to GREEN/ blue wire in Steering harness

BROWN / Black- Connected to Ground.

However, after doing these connections, i have following problems

1) Car will unlock with remote, but not lock. However the horn beeps when i press the lock button twice.

2) The central locking switch doesnt work as intended. It sometimes unlocks the car but that too when switch is pushed in lock direction.

Thanks in advance.

Dont hook the wite/black and BROWN / black to anything. --- NO CONNECTION

Hook the Purple - PURPLE / Black to GROUND, not +12 Volts

Thanks Much. That did fix my central lock inside car and locking unlocking from the transmitter. however, few more issues

1) the transmitters are locking/unlocking the car in one press. i tried to program the double press locking/ unlocking sequence but it didnt help.

2) when unlocking from transmitter, the horn doesnt beep. Is this normal ?

3) how to hook up parking light wire from viper ? I mean honda accord LX has what type of parking light circuit and which wire to tap to get that working ?

Thanks,

Also in reply to your questions

1) Yes the transmitters will lock and unlock in a single push of the buttons! That's how it functions!

2) Yes the horn not beeping is normal, after all the system is designed to function like a factory keyless system

I answered that third one above!

Thanks a lot t&t tech and Mark.

Everything basic seems to work now including locking/unlocking, horn beeping, parking light flashing.

I wanted to ask if there is anything that i can use Auxillary switch to control, may be trunk opener, on the car ? right now i have a lever which i pull to open the trunk. I guess i need extra components to have a remote trunk opener ? any thoughts ?

Also, how easy would be to get the domelight and ignition controlled locks to get working ?

Thanks,

You can use the aux to pop the trunk yes! But you will need a trunk pop solenoid and a relay and some wires! I don't have any wiring diagram for that particular model you have, if you wouldn't mind listing the wires you have remaining i could guide you through the domelight issue, the ignition doorlocks should be a programming feature!

Hi t&t Tech,

The wires remaining on my viper are

Blue : (-) 200mA second unlock output

BLACK/ White-1 : Input of Domelight supervision relay #87
BLACK/ White: output of Domelight supervision relay #30
WHITE/ Black: Lock #87 Normally Closed
Lt. GREEN/ Black: Factory Alarm disarm
WHITE/ blue: (-) 200mA channel 3 validity output
yellow: (+) switched ignition input
Orange: (-) 500mA Ground When Armed Output
BROWN / Black: unlock #87a Normallly Closed
RED / White: (-) output of channel 2

Please let me know which wire to be connected to what wire in the car for the domelight supervision and ignition switched input. Do i need a relay for domelight supervision ?

Thanks a lot for your help.. you Rock !!!!

No you don't need an external relay for the domelight, Just connect the BLACK/ white input to ground and  the BLACK/ white output to the door trigger wire in your car!
