1991 landrover central locking

is any one able to help me figure out the central locking on a 91 landrover discovery i have fitted an aftermarket alarm today and located the door locking harness exiting the drivers door with four wires in the plug black- ground  brown 12v orangeshowing 12v when locked and pink showing 12v on unlock i thought this was a neg pulsed locking system but could not get it to work any one with any experience with landrovers out there who can shed any light on the matter cheers

You've perfectly described a 5 wire system. What alarm are you installing?  And how many lock wires (will be either 2 or 6) and what colours are coming from your alarm?
