2002 grand caravan , code alarm csm 3

I have a 2002 Grand Caravan Sport  it doesn't have keyless entry. I also have a Code Alarm CSM-3 from a previous car.  My question is should I attempt to install this unit in my caravan or get a newer unit?  I also wanted to find a install manual for this unit.  There is a wiring diagram on the bottom of the unit but I have never installed an alarm or remote starters.  I have done more then a few car audio installs as well as engine swaps and rebuilds.  Car Starters are a bit new to me. Are there any FAQ's on the install  or any tips?  Thanks in advance for any help. 

I'd say just ditch it and grab something new. If you're gonna do the install, it mine as well be a product you like. You are also going to need a bypass module. As for the install itself, read over the manual and compare it to your cars wiring diagram. Any questions you have be sure to post on this forum and I'm sure a ton of members would be more than willing to help ya out.

if you want a basic start and keyless entry, check out audiovox products such as the prestige aps57a. that unit will cost you less than 70 bucks or so.Ted

I found this unit for $56 online. Do I still need a bypass module ? Any place to get those cheaper?

If you have a spare key, the cheapest option for a bypass I think would be the directed 556u

as x1le said, only if you do have a spare key and dont mind loosing one, then a 556u will do the job. a bypass will cost you anything from 20 - 70. if you dont plan on loosing any keys, then you need to spend abit more to get a data bypass. overall, it should cost you less than 120 out the door for all your required parts.Ted
