bought a 2003 chevy tahoe with automate am6 preinstalled.  lock/unlock works and can hit * button twice and vehicle will

stay running as programmed but will only crank over but not catch when * i pushed twice like programmed.  any ideas?

Place the key in the ignition switch, do not turn the key on, just set it in the switch.  Press the button twice.  Does it "Catch" now?

if it still does not start, turn the key to the run position, and try it again.

tried these already.  somebody mentioned module for gm install maybe bad?
