I have two hopefully easy questions...

I am preparing to install a remote starter for a 2009 ford focus.  My first question, is the wiring the same as the 2008 ford focus?  If not, does anyone have a wiring schematic for the 2009's?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks,

Brian

2008 thru 2010 are the same.  Here is a link to Bulldog Security for their wire guide :   http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/bdnew/vehiclewiringdiagrams.asp

Not sure what you mean.  What type remote start?  What extra wires?

The +12v Battery constant wire ( Blue/Red ) in the ignition harness is thin gauge.  You should not connect the remote starts  power wires to that ignition harness wire.  There is a thick +12v constant wire going to the fuse box, use that to supply the remote start.
