I have a DEI Hornet 732T alarm in my 1991 Jeep Cherokee. The alarm works great. I would like to have the OEM Jeep "Security" dash board light illuminate when the alarm siren is ringing. This dashboard light is a single wire to a very tiny light bulb on the dashboard. I thought I could simply tap into the DEI hornet alarm brown siren positive lead, but it doesn't illuminate the security light when the siren is ringing. Anyone have an idea how I can get the "security" light to illuminate in conjunction with the alarm ringing? Thanks

it would take some testing, but you need to find out what makes the light turn on in the first place, aka, what voltage do you need and what polarity does it need to see and on which wire does it need to see that voltage and polarity.
maybe it has a constant positive voltage and it only needs to see ground to illuminate, in which case you would only need a relay to invert the polarity of your siren wire to make it shoot ground to the appropriate side of the security light.
you should also test to make sure that the wire that activates the light does not rest at the opposite polarity of what it needs to see to turn on. like if it needs to have a 12v source in order for it to turn on then you should make sure that that wire does not rest at ground or else you might cause a short and blow the circuit entirely.
