2002 Grand cherokee. I installed a alarm/rs with the bypass and the r/s works great and the lock unlock works great when not in r/s. the car will not unlock in remote start unless I put the key in ignition and turn to run and press brake pedal so the car takes over. The lock function works in r/s but not unlock. everything else works great. any suggestions?

Excalibur AL-1830-EDP, and using an Omegalink OL-DB-CH1 bypass. everything works including unlock when the jeep is not in remote start mode.

i have never run into this with jeeps before not sure what to tell you

Thank you for the help. I did find out I did not hook up the door status output from the bypass to the door trigger input at the remote start. Hope that fixes the problem. I figured the D2D would handle it all.

well the door status output was wired up! reprogrammed the bypass, rechecked all connections, wired it up hard wire and the same results.everything works great but no unlock in r/s mode, insert key turn key on, push brake pedal, and push unlock on FOB and the doors unlock. the doors will unlock in remote start mode when using the door panal button.the hatch lock actuator is not functioning. i tested it and it was not working before the install of the r/s the replacing it tonight. any thoughts? this is killing me.

I also noticed when I use the key fob to unlock the doors without r/s and i push the unlock button multiple times it unlocks then toggle the right front door lock and right rear door lock trying to unlock them again.
