I recently added a viper 5701 on an 04 honda pilot. Everything went really smooth. It worked great for about three weeks in til the factory alarm started going off. When i was trouble shooting i noticed that everytime i locked it there would be a chirp like if there was a door left open. And as soon as i remote started it the factory alarm would go off. There is always a warning chirp after lock but the factory alarm going off is sometimes. Here is how i wired up the lock unlock and trigger
Lock/arm---------blue/green--------passenger mux
Unlock/disarm---------BLACK/ red------passenger mux
Door trigger-------------BLACK/ white-------interior light switch on dash
What do you guys think. I have tried what i can and havent gotten any closer. Has any body incounter something similiar.

The wire you used must have a delay, you can either find the instant trigger and most likely have to diode isolate or just program the error of, also you may have to get the factory disarm wire and connect it up.

Wire your door trigger from the instrument panel door ajar warning light, this will eliminate the secondary warning chirp problem, as for the factory alarm, follow t&t's good advice.

I always use the BLACK/ white wire for the door trigger for this year Honda Pilot. Never had a problem. If you are tripping the factory alarm, you should hook up the disarm wire. You will have to run a wire inside the door panel.
