really looking for someone to draw out a complete 'connect this wire from the code-alarm ca6550 to this wire in the vehicle' type of response?

I just finished installing my Code Alarm CA1151 in my 2000 Frontier, and honestly, if you print out the wire diagram for your truck, its fairly straight forward....:)

No it is not color to color. The wire codes are specific to your vehicle and will most times than not, be different colors than the wires supplied with your alarm. There are also different color wires based on the features of the vehicle. Power windows and locks, vs. same vehicle without power windows and locks. The sheet for you vehicle will specify where to locate the factory wire that you will need in order to conect to your new alarm. The alaram will come with installation instructions that you simply follow 1 step at a time. Hardest part is the bundle of wires and the mess while you tap into the wires of your vehicle. I did 1 harness of wires at a time, and used a power drill to "trist the wires sort of to keep it neat., then I electrical taped the bundle, flex loomed it, then moved on to the next harness of wires. If you honestly are not comfortable attempting this, ....dont, you willfrustrate yourself and perhaps not get it done. Not difficult, just gotta be able to locate and connect to the correct wires.
