I had a question that I was hoping some one could answer. My company recently purchased a 2011 Chevy express 1500 work van, It came with power windows and locks, when I asked the salesman for the remote control for the locks he told me it did not come with a remote. I was just under the assumption that now when you purchased a new vehicle and it was equipped with power locks it would have a remote. So ultimatley my question would be how can I tell if there is already a box or switch installed in the van and I really just need the remotes or if I need to try and purchase a remote lock kit?? any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks Kevin

Nope, never assume2011 chevy express van remote -- posted image.. If that's what the dealer stated chances are he is correct. Buy a basic keyless entry system like the Automate 2102A or the Pursuit PRO9845B...

Ive never seen a Chevy Express with keyless entry. I second Mikes opinion. You can usually find a keyless entry system for around $30-$40 on ebay and for that vehicle its only 7 wires to connect.

Thanks for your info. It had just seemed odd to me as we run an HVAC company and have a fleet of 20 vans and a few  of them are the chevy express with power locks and the remote. Is there somewhere I would be able to get a wiring schematic of the vehicle to install a remote system??? and thanks again for your help and advice!!
