Half of my customers refuse to even have a lamp in their domelight socket. Without the lamp, all door trigger does not work. Simple remedy for this is to insert a 1K ohm resistor across constant power and the all door trigger wire for negative systems. 1K across ground and all door trigger for positive systems.

Not mentioning anyone, but a certain mother of mine does the same - no door-triggered dome light, but she will use it manually.

Reason - security. She does not want night lurkers to see who's getting into the car.
