I'm trying to hook up a Viper 5101 starter and ads-tb bypass to a 2008 Ford Ranger Manual Trans. Everything seems to be working fine except for the clutch bypass. It's a six wire clutch and I've found info stating to run a neg starter wire to the lt.GREEN/ brown wire. Unfortunately that didn't work. When I test the clutch wires with a test light, I get no light, then light with ignition then no light when the clutch is pressed. I tested it with a multimeter and the voltage goes down during remote start but not far enough. Is this something I should be using a relay for or should I be trying something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's the info that DEI give although it's confusing.
Meter between the GREEN/ brown and the BLACK/ white next to it. Please tell me if there's continuity between the two, either at rest or when you push in the clutch, then I can give you some answers.

I attached the clutch wire directly to ground and the car started with the key and no clutch. I then added a relay to ground the wire completely in case the second starter wire wasn't strong enough. It still didn't work. After checking the relay I double checked the connector for the starter. The connector was pinned wrong and the second starter wire was in the wrong place. Once I put the wire in the right spot it worked like a charm. Thanks for the reply.
