A friend brought a remote starter and I told him I would install it for him. The vehicle is a 08 Chevy Trailblazer. The remote starter is a bulldog rs1100 and he has a 791 bypass module. I usually deal with directed electronic products but this was a favor to a friend. Installed the remote starter and bypass. The truck starts one time after I teach the tach wire but after that it just clicks and keeps trying to start. Has anyone else had this problem? Can I make this work or do I need to put a better remote starter and a dball2? Thanks for the help

This is an interesting vehicle that has some unique needs.  The Bulldog RS100 has some limitations that would make this install

challenging.

First, the RS1100 has two Ignition outputs but only one Accessory output.  The Trailblazer has two Ignition wires and two Accessory

wires.  How did you power both Trailblazer Accessory wires ( Orange and Brown )?

Assuming you used the 791 bypass module for the Trailblazers Passlock2 system.  This would use the RS1100's White (-) Security

Bypass Output wire.  What did you use for the Trailblazers (-) Keysense wire?

The RS1100 can be temperamental with certain Tach signals.  If you want to go in Tach Mode, I think I would use this wire :

Tachometer     White (ac)      @ instrument cluster, gray 24 pin plug, pin A12
However, does the 2008 Trailblazer have "one touch starting"?  That's where you can quickly turn the key to START and return
back to ON.  The vehicles computer will control the starter motor duration.  If this is the case, you could try the RS1100's Tachless
Mode.

When you say "just clicks", is it actually cranking the starter motor?  If it is, is there a Security Light on the instrument cluster?

That would indicate a problem with the Passlock2 bypass.  With Passlock2, the starter will crank but the BCM / ECM has shutdown
the fuel supply if the correct Passlock2 resistance isn't present.

The Bulldog RS1100 is a decent system, it just has some limitations.  A better system would make the Accessory2 and Keysense

wires easier to do.  Never used the 791 on Passlock2 as I prefer a Data style bypass module like the iDatalink ADS TBSL PL.  Simple
one wire connection to the OBD2 and 4 wires to the R/S unit.

Soldering is fun!

Thanks for your reponse. To power the second Accessory wire (Brown), I used a relay.
I used the White (-) Security Bypass Wire but I didn't know what to use for the keysense wire with the 791.
The vehicle does have one touch starting in which I used tachless mode.
When I say it just clicks, you can hear the remote start working as if it was trying to start the vehicle but no cranking just the accessories come on and go off, and it tries again and does the same process.
I was thinking about a data style bypass but didn't know if I could use it with the Bulldog RS1100. So a better system should work, something like a viper 4103. Thanks again.

The Bulldog should work.  Use diodes to split the RS1100 White bypass output wire and connect it to both the 791 and the Trailblazers' Keysense wire.  Use 1N4001 diodes with the band towards the RS1100.  Like this :
