hi guys
i have a 1994 nissan pulsar that i have fitted a viper 5204 with remote start to it but cannot seem to get the remote start to work from cold.
the car cranks for upto 6 seconds but will not fire, but will start instantly on the key. once the engine has been run the remote start works fine afterwards till the engine is cold again.
i have connected the tach wire not using virtual tach or voltage but have tried those as well.
anyone have an idea as its frustrating the life out of me
cheers

When it fails, how many clicks or indicator flashes are you getting?

Also doesn't this vehicle have 2 X starter wires? One's a cold start aid so unless the pink/white heavy gauge H3/7, Feature 8 option is being used as a second ignition, wire this to the second starter and program it Menu 3, Item 8 option 3.
Otherwise H2/18 violet / YELLOW via a 1N4004 diode band towards 5204 to terminal 85 on an automotive relay, 30 amps fused to 86 and 87, 30 to second starter wire.

And make sure you set it up for tach and learn it, much better for cold starts.

The Intellistart was far superior in some ways.
