09 murano ads alca

Can some explain why a diode is needed on the ignition output of the remote start with the band face the starter. I am prewiring the IData module for a 09 Nissan Murano..with push to start Intellikey...And also why do you connect the starter one output to the positive brake...takeover???? Thanks in advance!!!!!

The diode is used to block the ignition output from the remote start. The wire is needed for programming so the diode band facing the remote start allows 12v into the starter but not out. The starter output going to the brake is used to apply the brake during the start sequence. The brake signal for shut down is controlled through the idatalink module. Takeover is press unlock on the remote within 45 seconds open the drivers door, get into the truck, close the drivers door then press the brakeIf i Can't Install it    I Don't need it   Joe

I've never done that truck sorry. I do mostly kias. Using all idatalink very reliable modulesIf i Can't Install it    I Don't need it   Joe

Just did one on this past Friday. Used ADSALCA with Python 411P and went very smoothly. idatalink modules have been very reliable for me as well.
